Vaselix is the marketed salicylic vaseline (keratolytic) of reference for the treatment of skin hyperkeratosis.

Hyperkeratotic skin types are those with a thick stratum corneum and/or with excessive flaking. Vaselix (Vaselix 5%, Vaselix 10%, Vaselix 20% and Vaselix 40%) is indicated for hyperkeratotic conditions, either mild, moderate or severe (depending on the concentration) which may occur in situations as different as psoriasis, actinic keratosis, hair keratosis, support hyperkeratosis, palmoplantar keratodermas, mosaic warts, chronic eczema, helomas, calluses, etc.

Vaselix develops an effective keratolytic-exfoliating effect thanks to its salicylic acid content, which reduces the desquamation conditions of the skin.

Apply once or twice daily to small-localised hyperkeratotic areas and 2-3 times a week in more extensive cases. Vaselix should not be used for prolonged periods of time. Apply a small amount of the product in a thin layer and rub in gently until it penetrates the hyperkeratotic area, avoiding contact with the surrounding healthy skin. It may be used in occlusive cures. In non-occlusive cures, the area should be covered, since the excipient of the product is oily. Wash your hands immediately after applying the medication unless the hands are also being treated.
