Aftex

Aftex range products are indicated for the treatment of all types of mouth sores.

Their active ingredient is hyaluronic acid, a mucopolysaccharide forming part of the extracellular matrix of the connective tissue. In the healing process of mouth sores, it exerts various actions: protective (traps proteins and water), healing and regenerating (attracts fibroblasts), antibacterial and antioedematous action (reduces capillary permeability), and it also provides immediate pain relief.

Aftex Film, with its high concentration of hyaluronic acid, high mucoadhesiveness and special applicator, is recommended for the treatment of restrictive and painful mouth sores and ulcers. Aftex Spray is ideal for multiple mouth sores that are difficult to access. Aftex Mouthwash, which reaches all of the mouth mucosa, can prevent recurrences and is very useful in small, highly dispersed mouth sores. Aftex Gel is ideal for isolated mouth sores. The paediatric forms of Aftex Baby Gel vanilla flavour and Aftex Junior raspberry flavour are particularly indicated for mouth sores and ulcers in infants and children.

Aftex Forte

Aftex Forte introduces a more advanced formulation, a synergistic combination of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid and a bioadherent polymer that increases mucosal adhesiveness, achieving a prolonged protective effect and increased therapeutic efficacy in the prevention, treatment and cure of inflammation and oral mucosal lesions.

Aftex Forte Oral Spray is indicated for the treatment of multiple mouth ulcers, irritations or abrasions of the oral mucosa. Aftex Forte Mouthwash prevents the onset of recurrent mouth ulcers.

User safety with Aftex products

The Aftex range of products is very safe to use. They do not contain alcohol or sugar (they are suitable for diabetics), or corticosteroids. They also do not modify the physiological oral pH. No problems have been reported after accidental ingestion of the product and it can be used by children, pregnant women and the elderly. The treatment is easy and convenient.
